Prior to moving to Philadelphia, I managed special events and concerts at the Abbey Bar as part of Appalachian Brewing Company in Harrisburg, PA. I was also part of the Tasting Room team that opened the new Troegs Brewing Company location in Hershey, PA. In this role I provided guided tastings to guests, helped with special events and deepened my knowledge of beer. After moving to Philadelphia to be a part of the burgeoning beer scene, I joined Origlio Beverage as a Corporate Communications Specialist. During my time at Origlio, I wrote articles for the seasonal publications, Draught Lines and Heady Times, developed background knowledge of beer wholesaler operations and craft beer sales and how to incorporate social media to develop business growth. My passion for craft beer and learning has led brewing professionally at Saint Benjamin's in Philadelphia, managing a study group for and becoming a Certified Cicerone, and joining the Pink Boots Society as part of the committee working toward developing a Philadelphia chapter. Now with more than over six years of dedicated involvement in the craft beer industry within Pennsylvania, me, along with my husband Garrett Lee Williams, created Home Brewed Events. Home Brewed Events is a beer education and event company that works with local businesses and non-profits as well as private events to advance the beer culture of Philadelphia. In partnership with Eat Your PHL, Home Brewed Events created a successful annual vegan food and beer festival called Philly SEED Fest. Additionally, I have helped organize Noshhh Vendor Showcases, Dinner and Workshop series called Noshhh: After Hours working with local businesses, with a focus on the craft beer community and large-scale beer festivals with Brew Crew Events.
