Exploring flavours of malt is like taking a trip to the bakery. If you encounter a flavour in beer that you could imagine smelling or tasting in a bakery, it probably comes from the malt.
Since malt determines the colour of beer, there is a strong correlation between the colour of a beer and the kinds of malt flavours we find in them.
To taste a malt-dominated beer, try a British or American Brown Ale, a German Märzen or Doppelbock, or a Scottish ale.
