LIVE OFF FLAVOR SEMINARS
Familiarization with common beer off-flavors is an important key to success on the Certified Cicerone Tasting Exam.
At each class, six different common off-flavors will be tasted. Advance registration through Brown Paper Tickets is required. You must be 21 years old to attend. The seminar lasts approximately 1-1.5 hours.

OFF-FLAVOR KIT and TUTORED TASTING WEBINAR
Hold your own beer off-flavor tasting class for six people for just $149.
Cicerone, in collaboration with Aroxa, now offers an off-flavor kit that comes with access to support materials and a narrated webinar. Each kit contains flavor spikes for six common beer flaws, three from brewing and three from handling. The six flavors are: diacetyl, DMS, acetaldehyde, skunky, oxidized and infection.
Off-Flavor Kit contains the six flavor spikes plus a control spike. Each spike is designed to be added to one 12 oz (355 ml) bottle of beer. This creates enough of each spiked beer to serve each of six participants a 2 ounce sample. (Note: you must provide the beer, cups and other basic resources needed to do the tasting.)
Training with this kit is easy. Once you order the kit, you will have access to the checklist and directions you need for the tasting as well as the documents you'll provide to the participants. When it is time for the training, simply open your web browser and click "play" to view a full Powerpoint presentation about tasting and each off-flavor--narrated by Cicerone Founder and Director, Ray Daniels.
So that's about it: you provide the beer, we provide the off-flavors and the online training presentation.
